Glass Chess set by wake101 Glass Chess set by wake101
Ya another 3D work from me, I haven't been drawing much lately because
I've been distracted with learning Blender. I created this piece to demonstrate
blender's ability to render transparent and reflective objects. I probably spent
more time on getting the rendering right then I did on actually modelling the
chess pieces; and yet a couple of areas still bug me, oh well.
Made with Blender 2.40 (best version yet)
absolutely no post work done.

I was trying to make a crystal chess set with 3ds Max, but it was an epic fail. How did you do make yours so well?

Nice work, if your stuck on anything ask me or ask on blenderartists.org (forum)

thanks, heh, I don't really post here anymore. I figure that CA is a ton better place to learn and grow.

I practically never update here or check messages. The good art here makes me jealous and then I realise how many people are in it for the popularity contest. I much prefer CA, it's helped me far more in 14 days than this place has in all the years/months I've been here.

See ya on CA =)

Looks good. I like it.
The shadows don't fit with the figures.
